The Tarot of Initiation brings together the fine pen and ink drawings of a local Portland artist and the rich symbolism of the Western esoteric tradition to produce an inspiring set of cards for ritual, meditation and divination. The twenty-two cards of the Major Arcana were added to the ordinary deck of playings cards during the fourteenth century in order to preserve their ancient wisdom. Now, the twenty-two keys of the Major Arcana alone become your passport to the higher mysteries.

In earlier times, initiates were required to draw and color their own Tarot decks. Today, coloring a deck that another has drawn gives the same feeling and experience. As you find the colors that make each symbol come to life for you, the deck becomes your own, an expression of your own deep self in its journey on the path of initiation.

Created and published by Steven Marshall with artwork commissioned by Emmett Brennan - these decks are from the original creator's last case of the original run of 800 printed in 1984. Some boxes may have minor discoloration from aging but the cards are sealed and pristine.
